SUMMARY:Women's Leadership Coalition - "The Ups & Downs of Owning a Business!"
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, March 6\, 2020\, for the Women's Leadership Coalition meeting\, featuring Sadaya "Daisy" Lewis\, owner of Modern Southern Table\, who will present "The Ups & Downs of Owning a Business!"\n\n\n\n\nModern Southern Table owner\, Sadaya "Daisy" Lewis\, started her restaurant and catering business seven years ago\, combining her experience cooking southern-style cuisine and an MBA in marketing and finance from Capital University\, Lewis has built an incredible southern comfort food concept offering fried chicken\, gumbo\, macaroni and cheese and other southern classics.\n\n \n\nHer love of cooking started when she was nine years old and has continued through her adult life. Everything about the process brings Lewis joy\, from selecting ingredients and creating new dishes to telling the stories of her ancestors and providing guests with one-of-a-kind culinary experiences. She seeks to give guests the same feeling of comfort she had when her family would host meals and unite around the table.\n\n \n\n"I can't wait to share a good\, wholesome meal with the people of Columbus\, a community I've considered to be family for a long time\," said Lewis. "I'm looking forward to sharing meals made from scratch and with love\; meals that will remind people of home\; meals that my ancestor handed down as they journey through life. All while hoping to create a new age gathering around the table\, A Modern Southern Table.\n\n \n\nHer favorite menu items are the gumbo and her award-winning fried chicken. The flavors remind her of childhood\, enjoying her grandmothers' food at a time when life was good and her belly was always full.\n\n\n\nTypically held on the first Friday of the month (some exceptions)\, this event provides a great opportunity to make new business connections\, hear from a top-notch speaker sharing relevant business advice\, and sharing information about YOUR business. \n\n\n\nThese events are free to attend to any Chamber member There is a small fee for guests. Please RSVP\, space is limited.
