DESCRIPTION:The Pickerington Area Chamber's first Downsizing & Senior Care Expo is Saturday\, March 23\, and is FREE TO THE PUBLIC! Held at the Wigwam Event Center\, this event features a large expo with vendors representing the numerous and varied companies\, organizations\, and industries that serve the senior and caregiver population. This interactive and dynamic event will include screenings\, and demos (yoga/cardio)\, and patient portal help desks\, and chair volleyball matches! Exhibit hall is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m.\n\n\n\nIn the nearby Theater\, the event will feature educational/informative sessions throughout the day on topics including downsizing\; pros and cons of living in place/downsizing/independent living/assisted living and other options\; brain health\; identifying scams and financial fraud schemes\; Medicare 101\, advanced planning\; estate planning/elder law\; setting up home for safety/dementia care\; having the conversation about driving\; managing medications\; and caregiver burnout/caregiver support. It will end with a panel of experts on senior care and services with an opportunity for Q&A. Info sessions will run from 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m.\n\n \n\nLancaster public transit will run a loop that day\, as well as be available for reservations. More information to come.\n\n \n\nThe first 100 attendees are provided a free sack lunch\, courtesy of Meals on Wheels.
